Croatian euro coins catalog
The euro replaced the Croatian kuna (HRK) in 2023 at an exchange rate of 1 euro = 7.53450 HRK.
The reverse sides of Croatian coins depict the following motifs:
- a map of the country on the 2-euro coin;
- a marten on the 1-euro coin, called "kuna" in Croatian, like the name of the previous national currency;
- a portrait of Nikola Tesla on the 50, 20, and 10 cent coins;
- the Glagolitic alphabet on the 5, 2, and 1 cent coins.
Croatian euro coins are minted by the Croatian mint in Zagreb. The design of the 1 euro coin was chosen through a public competition.
